Northamptonshire 2nd XI resumed the final day on 26 for 1 with Cronie and Thurston at the crease. The pair took the total to 66 before Thurston became the second wicket to fall. The visitors were soon struggling at 96 for 5. Lunch was taken with the total on 107 for 5 still 93 behind. A sixth wicket partnership of 95 from 146 balls between Kerrigan and Bukhake led the counter attack before Kerrigan was dismissed for 67 from 106 balls with 11 fours and a six. The late order provided some resistance to avoid the follow on and Northamptonshire 2nd XI were bowled out for 208.

Harry Sullivan had excellent figures of five for 27 from 16 overs with seven maidens. Tom Loten 13 overs 8 maidens 3 for 29.

Ben Cliff and Matthew Revis shared the other two wickets.

Yorkshire 2nd XI lost two wickets in reaching the nine runs target to win by eight wickets with a session to spare. It was a good performance, especially as a day was lost to rain.
