Resuming on 277-7, Yorkshire lost skipper Harry Duke to the eighth ball of the day when he was adjudged lbw for 82, leaving the home side still 67 short of avoiding the follow-on target.

Harry Sullivan completed his second half century of the season but was caught at mid-wicket for 51 from 125 balls and Clarke Doughney was taken at silly mid-off soon after as Yorkshire were dismissed for 308, trailing by 189 – the follow-on was enforced.

Finlay Bean and Harry Allinson opened the reply and had made 41 before the former was caught in the gully, at the second attempt, for 11. Tom Loten came in at three, however he was caught at leg-slip from the very last ball before lunch. At lunch Yorkshire were 62-2, still trailing by 127.

The not out pair took their partnership to 74 before Allinson was lbw to Kelley for 69 from 121 balls with 12 fours – his 50 having come from 91 balls. Duke continued showing patience and ability and with Yash Vagadia negotiated through to tea – Yorkshire 145-3; Duke 39no from 72 balls and Vagadia 11no from 47.

Four overs were bowled after tea with Yorkshire reaching 158-3 when rain came and play was halted.

Play was abandoned at 5.09pm with the match drawn.
