Yorkshire resumed under much more pleasant conditions at 64-1 from 20 overs and an extended days play lay ahead with a possible 104 overs. Gary Ballance was caught at slip for 12, however Harry Allinson batted nicely before he was bowled by the off spin of Nat Bowley for a patient 46 from 115 balls with 8 fours.

Harry Duke was joined by Tom Loten and at lunch Yorkshire 113-3. Post lunch the score was taken to 165, a partnership of 60 in 153 balls before Loten was stumped for 37. This gave Bowley his third wicket. His fourth arrived via trapping Yash Vagadia lbw and his fifth when he caught and bowled Ben Coad. Debutant, Alex Cree was caught behind and tea was taken under darkening skies at 220-7, skipper, Harry Duke unbeaten on 48 from 139 balls and Harry Sullivan 10 not out.

Bad light delayed the re start and three overs were lost. Duke duly completed his half century from 142 balls including 33 singles. He and Sullivan took their partnership beyond 50 from 104 balls and extended it to 74 from 163 deliveries before bad light again played a part taking the players from the field at 5.45pm.

Play was called off at 6pm.
