Yorkshire’s Disability hardball sides are warming up for the new season with a pair of pre-season friendlies in Worksop over the Easter weekend, with Cameron Cooper and Archie Atkins-Sloan leading the county for the first time.

Yorkshire’s National Quest League XI – the county’s first team – travel to Worksop CC on Monday April 21, two days after the second-team Pursuit side are away at Blyth CC (Saturday April 19). Both clubs play in the Bassetlaw League.

Atkins-Sloan will lead a side with half a dozen debutants as the county continued to build their participation levels.

England Physical Disability seamer Cooper is preparing the White Rose firsts for the start of the season proper – an away trip to Wales on Sunday April 27.

National champions in 2023, that will be the aim once more.

Also on April 27, Yorkshire’s S9 softball side start the defence of their S9 regional title title with an away trip of their own to Wales. Alastair Domville continues to lead the county at that level.

Monday May 5 is a key day for Yorkshire Disability Cricket, with Higham CC in Barnsley hosting an S9 Open Day for those keen to enter the county’s set-up.

On the same day, Curtis Sugden will captain a Yorkshire Under 21s hardball side in a friendly away at Ordsall Bridon CC, who are based in Retford. That is the first time Yorkshire have fielded a team of players within that age range.
