The Yorkshire County Cricket Club can confirm that Karl Carver, Bilal Anjam and Matthew Taylor have not been offered extensions to their contracts.

The Club would like to place on record their thanks to the trio and wish them well in their respective futures.

Left-arm orthodox Carver, a product of the Sessay club near York, although he now plays his league cricket alongside Matthew Fisher at Sheriff Hutton Bridge, played for Yorkshire Under 14s, 15s and 17s as well as the England Under 19s. A two-time Championship winner in 2014 and 2015, he made his Championship debut aged 18 against Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

Anjam, 20, a Rotherham-born opening batsman, has been playing second-team cricket sporadically for the last two seasons. He has played age-group cricket for the White Rose at under 13s, 14s, 15s, 17s and 19s, debuting for the Academy and the second team in 2017.

Taylor, from Wakefield, made his second-team debut in 2015, less than three weeks after he had first represented the county’s Academy side. He has played age-group cricket for Yorkshire at under 13s, 14s, 15s, 17s and 19s.

All leave with the Club’s best wishes.
