Ten-time England international Em Arlott is coming to Headingley ahead of 2027 and beyond.
A seam-bowling all-rounder who has played at the highest level alongside Sarah Glenn, Arlott joins Yorkshire from Warwickshire.
Arlott, aged 28, is a fast bowler with impressive skill and a very dangerous lower middle-order batter.
She’s performed both at home and abroad. Arlott played 50-over cricket for Western Australia in the 2024/25 winter, for example, and also represented Sydney Thunder in last winter’s Big Bash League.
Norfolk-born, Arlott came through the Worcestershire age-group system and made her senior debut for them in 2013 in the old county structure.
She represented the Central Sparks throughout the regional era of professional domestic cricket in England, from 2020 to 2024.
Arlott played for a number of England Development sides and then England A and was on the radar of the national selectors before she made her T20I and ODI debuts at the end of May, 2025.
She had been named in a June 2021 Test squad for a clash with India and then again the following year for a meeting with South Africa. Unfortunately, she was ruled out of the latter having failed to recover from a bout of Coronavirus.

Arlott has gone on to play 10 times in the two shorter formats, and she hit the ground running.
In only her second T20 appearance, she took the new ball and claimed a brilliant 3-14 from four overs against the West Indies at Hove, with the visitors limping to a non-threatening score of 81-9.
She was in England’s ODI squad earlier this summer for their New Zealand series but had to drop out of the squad because of concussion.
Arlott is closing in on 250 senior career wickets across all formats, including a List A best of 5-29. She also has a List A best of 130.
The five-for came in a 2021 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy clash between the Sparks and the Southern Vipers at Hove, a venue which has clearly been kind to her. She took the new ball and inspired the Sparks to a 120-run victory defending a 225-target.
The century came for Warwickshire in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup last April, against Essex at Chelmsford.
Arlott came in at 22-5 and compiled her 130 off 141 to recover things sensationally to an unassailable 289 all out.
She has plenty of power with the blade but also demonstrated a more measured, skilful side to her game in that innings.

Arlott played for the Central Sparks alongside Glenn, Ami Campbell and Ria Fackrell, while she was also in the Warwickshire team alongside Sterre Kalis, who was on loan there last year. Kalis played in that Essex game we have just referenced.
Having previously represented Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred, she has been signed by the Welsh Fire for this season’s campaign.
