Yorkshire County Cricket Club (YCCC) is pleased to announce a renewal partnership with Uber Eats until the end of the year.

As part of the renewed partnership, a dedicated Uber Eats pick-up zone will continue to be available at Headingley for fans to use at games, with just a few taps of their smartphone, in what is thought to be a unique initiative for cricket in the UK.

Uber Eats will be available for all fixtures at Headingley including, Vitality County Championship clashes, the Vitality Blast T20 fixtures, Northern Diamonds fixtures and international matches, where customers will be able to order food on the app and enjoy from the comfort of their seats.

The partnership will continue to celebrate local restaurant partners they work with in the Leeds area – with a different restaurant showcased at each T20 fixture.

Tom Webster, Business Development Manager, for the YCCC, said: “Yorkshire Cricket is always looking at ways in which we can improve our fans experience and our renewed partnership with Uber Eats will allow us to offer spectators a wider range of food options to cater for their needs.

“The Club would like to ensure that it is offering the most inclusive experience possible, and we want to cater for all – including those who may have food allergies or intolerances, special dietary requirements or specific religious reasons.

“Continuing to work with Uber will enhance the match day experience for fans and provides a great opportunity to support some great local restaurants and takeaways to those visiting the Headingley with fantastic food options available with a few taps on their smartphone.”

Saqeb Mohammed, Uber Eats’ Territory Account Manager, said: “We’re thrilled to continue partnering with Yorkshire Cricket for the 2024 season, and offer fantastic match day food options to the fans at their doorstep.

“This collaboration will continue to give customers the chance to enjoy a number of Uber Eats benefits with great options from our growing number of restaurant partners who offer different cuisine type. We look forward to another exciting year of partnership with Yorkshire Cricket.”

The delivery drop-off point for Uber Eats will be Headingley Cricket Ground, St Michael’s Lane, LS6 3DP.
