The final home day of action for the summer is perfectly poised, and – as things stand – we’re all set to get away on time at 10.30am.
Somerset are 73-3 chasing 287, and they have to avoid defeat to maintain realistic hopes of a title challenge.
If they lose this, they would go into next week’s final round – against Surrey at Taunton – 11 points behind Warwickshire at the top. The Bears host Leicestershire at Edgbaston. A draw would leave the gap at three points, and an away win today would give them a five-point advantage.
Yorkshire are chasing win number five this summer.
