The candidates

Maddie Ward

Stepping up to captain throughout the tournament, Maddie Ward led Yorkshire Women to the Vitality Blast Women’s League Two Finals Day this month. Ward has contributed vital runs to the campaign, as well as taking two excellent catches behind the stumps in the semi-final against Glamorgan.

Liv Thomas

Leg-spinner Liv Thomas took figures of 3-29 in the semi-final game against Glamorgan to round off a very successful month with the ball. Across July, Liv also got figures of 2-10 and 2-22.

Ria Fackrell

Ria Fackrell finished top of the Vitality Blast League Two wicket takers, with 16 wickets to her name. Her off-spin has showed control and been crucial in disrupting batters’ rhythm across the competition.

Claudie Cooper

Claudie Cooper took an absolutely stunning catch off her own bowling in our semi-final against Glamorgan that deserves recognition alone! She also finished second in the Vitality Blast League Two wicket takers list, with 13 wickets to her name!
