Durham, Headingley, Vitality Blast, Friday May 28

Friday nights under the Headingley lights are always special, and Yorkshire’s opening home fixture of next season’s North Group campaign is part of a T20 double header with the Northern Diamonds, who also face Sunrisers in the Charlotte Edwards Cup.

The Vikings will hope to already have four points to their name having faced Birmingham and Worcestershire away beforehand.
These two sides served up a treat at Headingley in the 2022 Blast, with Yorkshire chasing down 208 to win by six wickets with 2.2 overs to spare. Adam Lyth top-scored with a blistering 77.

Lancashire Lightning, Headingley, Vitality Blast, Thursday June 1

Strap yourselves in. Are you ready for more Roses mayhem? These two sides meet in their first of two North Group fixtures, and both will be determined to repeat last season’s run to Finals Day, where they met in the semi-final.

Both group clashes went to the last ball in the most recent campaign, with a tie at Emirates Old Trafford and a Lancashire win at Headingley. The Red Rose also had the better of the semi-final at Edgbaston, but it’s surely the Vikings’ time for success.

Derbyshire, Chesterfield, LV= Insurance County Championship, Sunday June 11-14

Yorkshire fans will descend on Chesterfield for the first of two outground four-day clashes with a Derbyshire side who also visit Scarborough in early September.
The last time Yorkshire were in Division Two, in 2012, these two counties both gained promotion.

New captain Shan Masood will return to face the county he starred for last season as an overseas player, by which time he will hope that his new team is well on the way to promotion having already played five games.

Durham, Scarborough, LV= Insurance County Championship, Tuesday July 25-28

The Championship matches at Scarbados will be the first many Yorkshire supporters look for upon the release of the fixtures, and this is the first of two.

Neighbours Durham will bring a strong travelling contingent, just like Yorkshire will do with Chesterfield.
There has been a clamour for more Championship cricket in the summer months, and this one – early in the school holidays – fits the bill perfectly.

Former Yorkshire Championship winner Alex Lees is set to face his old club in red ball cricket for the first time since he left Headingley in 2018.

Lancashire, Scarborough, One-Day Cup, Thursday August 3

This Roses clash against last season’s beaten finalists at North Marine Road forms part of a tough opening to Yorkshire’s One-Day Cup campaign. A couple days earlier, also at Scarborough, Yorkshire face defending champions Kent.

Last season, Yorkshire and Lancashire met in this competition just down the A64 at York, where the visitors claimed victory in front of a sun- drenched 4,500 strong crowd.
We can expect more of the same by the seaside.

Surrey, York, One-Day Cup, Tuesday August 15

Clifton Park has proven itself a popular host for Yorkshire matches over the last few years, and they will again host two of the county’s 50-over home matches.
This is the first of two in three days and comes against a Surrey side who will be hoping to bounce back strongly from a disappointing campaign when they only won two of eight matches.

As strong as they were in the Championship, Surrey were hit badly by call-ups for the Hundred and international cricket.
