Liam Plunkett claimed his 100th wicket in one-day international cricket today, Jonny Bairstow top-scored with 60 and all-round Joe Root claimed the man-of-the-match award as England saw off Australia again in Brisbane.

England are now 2-0 up in their five-match Gillette ODI series, which is showing plenty of similarities to the recent Test series.

One side is producing flashes of decent cricket without doing enough, while the other is keeping their foot on the throat of the opposition and finding a way in the key moments.

Thankfully, we are on the right end of it, and you wouldn’t back against a series whitewash after this four-wicket win with 5.4 overs to spare.

The next match is in Sydney on Sunday.
