Yorkshire CCC Women’s 2nd XI vs Warwickshire and Wales – May 26

The weather disrupted the day with two T20s schedules to be played. Yorkshire managed to play a 15 over game with Wales and a full T20 with Warwickshire.

Batting first in the Wales game, Yorkshire scored 114 for 6 with Adrianna Darlow top scoring with 46 at better than a run a ball and Rachel Slater supporting with 23. The bowlers were then well supported in the field to restrict Wales to 58 for 8, Rachel Slater 3-8 and Evie Woodhead 2-4.

With no real break the players were then asked to field first in the T20 with Warwickshire. The opposition made 137 for 5 with captain Steph Robinson bowling well with figures of 4 overs, 2-14. Yorkshire were then restricted to 97 all out as they went after the score, Adrianna Darlow again scoring the bulk of the runs, making 34.

With a number of younger players making their debut at this level there were plenty of positives to take from the day.
