Yorkshire Academy played in the second Semi Final at North Marine Road on Sunday and captain James Wharton decided to bat on winning the toss.

The opening pair put on 30 from only 18 balls before Bean was out and the new batsman went the very next ball. Wharton became the third wicket to fall with the total on 48 in the seventh over. The middle order could not increase the run rate and the Academy were reduced to 83 for 7 in the 14th over. Dominic Leech and Sam Wisniewski put on an unbroken stand of 33 which enabled Yorkshire Academy to finish on 116 for 7.
Luke Kilby was the main wicket taker for Dunnington with 3 for 19 from his 4 overs.

Dunnington lost the first wicket to the second ball of the innings with the other opener dismissed with the total on 6 after 3 overs.

Donovan Sinclair joined Jack Bolam and the pair took the total to 54 before Bolam fell for 27 in the 12th over. The pressure was put back on the batsmen with tight bowling from the Academy. Sinclair was dismissed for 36 in the 17th over with the total on 84. 33 required from 22 balls. The 6th wicket pair of Kilby and Sutcliffe put Dunnington in sight of victory with a stand of 26 from 15 balls. Dunnington reached the victory target finishing on 117 for 6 with two balls remaining.

The Academy wicket takers were Dominic Leech 4 for 23 and Josh Sullivan 2 for 27.
