The Yorkshire Academy home fixture on Saturday had a delayed start so the match was reduced to 44 overs. The visitors won the toss and elected to bat. They lost an early wicket before a second wicket partnership of 43 before Owen Goldsworthy fell for 28. The third wicket pair took the score to 92 before Mark Tennant was dismissed for 19. The fourth wicket fell at 106 which led to a remarkable collapse as the visitors lost the remaining six wickets for 26 runs and were 132 all out from 42.2 overs.

The damage was done by Harry Sullivan with the excellent figures of 11 overs 5 maidens 5 wickets for only 17 runs.

In their reply the Academy lost both openers with only 35 on the board. Captain Will Luxton and James Wharton took the score to 75 before Wharton was dismissed. The next wicket fell with one run added to the total. Luxton and Daniel Ford shared an unbroken fifth wicket partnership of 57 to lead the Academy to the target. Luxton 64 not out from 94 balls with 4 fours and Ford 23 not out.

Jamie Greavson 2 for 40 from 10.2 overs was the chief wicket taker for the visitors.
