Resuming at 14-2, Tom Loten was lbw to Ryan Sidebottom in the second over of the day. Will Luxton joined Matt Revis and the pair added 34 in 92 balls before Luxton was bowled for 21, including four fours. This brought Yash Vagadia to the wicket and he and Revis saw Yorkshire through to the lunch interval at 112-4; Vagadia 25 not out and Revis 45 not out.

Post-lunch, Vagadia added three more before being caught at third slip, leaving Yorkshire at 114-5. Revis reached his half century from 158 balls (4×4) but shortly after was bowled for a patient and invaluable 53 from 181 balls. Josh Sullivan was caught and bowled for two but Ben Birkhead made 54 from 78 balls, including 11 fours followed by Ben Coad 57 from 59 (7×4;2×6). Thanks to their efforts, Yorkshire posted 266, a lead of 131.

Warwickshire lost an early wicket when Dom Sibley was caught behind for two but Yates and Malan reached the close at 74-1, Yates 36 not out and Malan 31 not out. Yorkshire lead by 57 going in to day three.
