Official Partners, NIC FM Services Group LTD, are proudly supporting the Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s (YCCC) Performance Pathway, playing their part in developing the next Joe Root and Lauren Winfield-Hill. As part of the partnership, each month NIC highlight an outstanding team within the pathway.

NIC YCCC Pathway Team of the Month for May 2025 is the CAG U13 Boys.

By Bilal Anjam – YCCC High Performance Coach and U13’s Boys Coach.

After concluding a comprehensive victory over the Leicestershire Foxes today (Wednesday 4th June), I told the boys they had been selected out of all the county age group squads, as team of the month. Buzzing is an understatement to how they reacted! The under 13s embarked on their first step this winter – working towards their dream goal of becoming a professional cricketer for Yorkshire.

Travelling up to Headingley in the off season to train together as a squad means they have grown, developed and bonded as a unit, not only as teammates but as great friends. The buy in, work ethic and commitment from the boys has made me extremely proud as they show humility and privilege at representing their county age team.

May brought about the start of the summer programme and match play! The Under 13’s have started their 2025 campaign brilliantly, winning 5/5 games! The cohesion from the winter has certainly transferred out onto the field and it’s great to see the boys putting performances in and enjoying their teammates success. There have been some great performances from all players, with the bat, ball and in the field, worthy of the status of junior tykes! As a Performance Pathway, we are extremely proud of the group and their success, not just the winning but the environment the boys have created, rife for learning and full of enjoyment.

A huge thanks to NIC for their continued support. A core value of all coaches as well as all club staff is to stride towards breaking barriers, allowing the game to be accessible to all and NIC align very much with our beliefs in aiding with kit support. Cricketers, boys and girls and their parents, can freely enter our environment and express themselves in a manner they feel comfortable within.

Thank you NIC!
