The Yorkshire County Cricket Club will be bringing you closer to the action this summer with the new Match Centre.

Coverage of the Specsavers County Championship, Royal London One Day Cup and Vitality Blast will be enhanced for the 2018 season, with replays of every wicket and key moment being uploaded within minutes of them happening.

Yorkshire’s matchday live scorecard and links to live BBC local commentary will return this Friday for the opening Specsavers County Championship fixture against Essex. Match reports will now include Manhattan graphs and wagon wheels, offering essential insight for Yorkshire members and supporters.

Treve Whitford, The Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s Head of Marketing and Communications said: “The Club are excited to offer enhanced coverage of Yorkshire’s fixtures in 2018. After considering many options over the winter, we believe that the Match Centre will complement our written and social content.

“The aim of the Match Centre is to bring those who are unable to attend closer to the game, however, this will also benefit those watching at Emerald Headingley. With the high speed in-bowl WIFI, spectators will be able to review key moments as soon as the batsman has left the field!

“Earlier in the year, the Club also launched a social media feed on the official website called ‘The Yorkshire Wall’. For your chance to have your Tweets and Instagram posts appear on The Yorkshire Wall throughout the season, simply include the hashtag #YourYorkshire.”
