From a dry and bright Ampleforth College ahead of Yorkshire’s latest One-Day Cup clash, with Surrey.
This is a new venue for the White Rose women, though our men have played a friendly here before – more of that before we get going this morning.
Yorkshire are aiming for a fourth win in 12 games today, while Surrey are aiming for win number six.
You get the feeling that if Yorkshire are to secure a knockout place, this is the last chance saloon. They simply have to win and be flawless in the remaining four matches after to get into the top three.
Surrey have got a bit more wriggle room, but still they have significant work to do.
They are preparing for a Vitality County Cup T20 Finals Day appearance at Emirates Old Trafford on Saturday.
