A number of the players are going over to the artificial nets to begin their warm-ups.
Good morning...
From York CC, Clifton Park, where unfortunately it’s a pretty unsettled start to the day.
It looks like we could be in for an on-off day weather wise, with Yorkshire due to face Hampshire in the penultimate One-Day Cup match before the break for the start of the Vitality Blast next week. It’s just started raining in the last five minutes, and there has been plenty more overnight.
Yorkshire are bidding for win number three of the season, from their seventh match. Last year’s finalists Hampshire, meanwhile, are aiming for their fifth win of the season so far.
This game is clearly going to be a test for Yorkshire given Hampshire reached the final of this competition in 2025 and currently sit second in the table. But it should hold no fears for Lauren Winfield-Hill and her side.
After all, Yorkshire have already beaten last year’s champions Lancashire this season alongside a Blaze side who currently sit top of the table.
This is Yorkshire’s first game since losing to Essex at Headingley a couple of Saturdays ago.
You can read the preview for this fixture, with assistant coach Kevin Sharp, via the link below.
The live stream will be posted at the top of the page closer to the start time. Obviously a 10.30am start is planned. Fingers crossed, though, what rain we have at present passes through.
Enjoy the day.
