From Headingley, where it’s another dry and sunny morning ahead of day three against Championship challengers Somerset. We get going at 10.30am.
At the start of this week, we were describing Somerset as league leaders. Well, that’s changed. Warwickshire completed a three-day win over Essex at Chelmsford yesterday and have taken the in-round lead.
If Yorkshire have anything to do with it, then the Bears could go into next week’s final round with a very healthy advantage.
Yorkshire are currently 128-6 in their second innings, leading by 139.
George Hill is unbeaten on 50 and Dom Bess 27.
This could be the last day of this match, and it probably will be if the weather holds. We shall see.
We spoke to bowling coach Mick Lewis last night to get his reaction to the day and his thoughts on Ben Cliff and his progress after claiming that excellent eight-for.
