From Headingley, where we’ve had a decent amount of overnight rain but it’s much brighter now and the covers are coming off.
Whether we get a start on time at 10.30am or not, we will have to wait for the umpires to decide on that. But we should get a decent amount of cricket in today, fingers crossed.
Current Rothesay County Championship league leaders Somerset are in town this week.
They lead the table by four points from champions Nottinghamshire, while Warwickshire are a point further back. It promises to be an exciting final fortnight of the 2026 summer.
Nottinghamshire are at Sussex this week, Warwickshire at Essex.
Yorkshire are fifth in the table, with a realistic hope of a fourth-placed finish. They could also play the role of spoilers given Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge is their final game next week, starting Thursday.
