Live: Yorkshire Men v Hampshire, Metro Bank One-Day Cup

Yorkshire open their One-Day Cup campaign with a repeat of last year's semi-final at Scarborough. Follow this page for updates to see if they can make sure the result is different this time.

All set to go...

In our chase of 321.

Adam Lyth and Will Luxton opening the batting.

Oli Williams has the ball for Hampshire on debut.

Hampshire 320-8, 50 overs

Tom Prest 109 and Isaac Bepey 3-64 from 10 overs.

George Hill had Prset caught at deep mid-wicket in the penultimate.

The fourth-wicket partnership of 147 between Jake Lehmann and Prest is the highest partnership for that wicket in List A matches here at Scarborough.

Prest 100

Tom Prest has reached an excellent 89-ball century as Hampshire moved to 295-6 early in the 49th over.

Bepey again

Isaac Bepey has a third wicket, with Ben Brown skewing high to Fin Bean, who takes a smart catch running back from backward point. Brown falls for 34, and Hampshire are 283-6 in the 48th over.

Tom Prest has 96.

What a catch

Ashutosh Sharma has been caught by Sam Whiteman at deep square-leg off Isaac Bepey, but the bull of the work was done by Fin Bean at deep mid-wicket. He caught and off-loaded the ball before going over the rope having run around from deep mid-wicket.

Yorkshire have dropped three previous catch, all much easier than that. But what a superb piece of fielding.

Hampshire now 230-5 in the 43rd over.

Lehmann gone!

Ben Cliff gets Jake Lehmann caught behind for 75, breaking a stand of 147 with Tom Prest, who has 76.

Hampshire 215-4 after 40 overs.

Much needed breakthrough for the White Rose.

Ashutosh Sharma in now, Hampshire’s Indian overseas.

Hampshire 192-3, 37 overs

George Hill conceded only 10 runs from his first seven overs and was superb. But Lehmann and Prest have just taken him for 17 in his eighth.

Hampshire on course for 300 plus now. Yorkshire could do with a wicket.

Prest 50

Tom Prest gets to his fifty off 55 balls.

Hampshire 167-3 in the 35th over.

Lehmann 50

Jake Lehmann has moved to 50 off 63 balls, and Hampshire are 160-3 in the 34th over.

Lehmann and Tom Prest (43) have shared 92 for the fourth wicket.

Bennison into the attack

Will Bennison into the attack with his leg-spin.

Hampshire 103-3, 25 overs

We have reached halfway in the Hampshire innings, and drinks are being taken.

Jake Lehmann has 29 and Tom Prest 12.

Wickets for Coad, Cliff and Bepey so far.

Bess and Coad take up attack

Yorkshire 87-3, 21st over.

Jake Lehmann has 18 and Tom Prest has 7.

Bepey strikes!

Isaac Bepey gets Fletcha Middleton caught behind by Harry Duke, 16.

Angled across the right-hander, who goes feeling for it.

Impressive start from our new left-arm quick.

Tom Prest in now alongside Jake Lehmann, who has 10 and was dropped on 5.

Hampshire 54-2, 13.4 overs

Ali Orr caught behind Harry Duke bowled Ben Cliff, 30.

Undone by extra bounce.

Jake Lehmann in alongside Fletcha Middleton, 14.

Bepey into the attack

Isaac Bepey

Isaac Bepey into the attack in place of George Hill.

Bepey is a 25-year-old left-arm quick who played age-group cricket for Kent before being spotted by the Yorkshire hierarchy following his performances for Leeds/Bradford University.

He’s impressed in the second team this summer.

Even at present

Both sides will be relatively happy with the early stages.

Yorkshire have kept things tight, while Hampshire have recovered from the early loss of captain Nick Gubbins.

Hampshire 37-1, 8 overs

Ali Orr 19 and Fletcha Middleton 8.

Ben Cliff has replaced Ben Coad in the attack.

Orr attacks

Ali Orr has played some eye-catching shots so far to move to 19, including a six over square-leg off Ben Coad.

Hampshire are 32-1 in the sixth over.

Hampshire 11-1, 3.2 overs

Nick Gubbins bowled Ben Coad, 9.

Inside-edge playing forwards onto middle and leg-stump.

Fletcha Middleton in now alongside Ali Orr.

Hampshire 10-0, 2nd over

Ben Coad is sharing the new ball.

Nick Gubbins has taken a couple of boundaries off Coad through the first half of the second over.

Hill with the new ball

George Hill has the new ball, with Ali Orr and Nick Gubbins opening for Hampshire.

Yorkshire win toss and bowl

Yorkshire: Adam Lyth, Will Luxton, Sam Whiteman, Fin Bean, Will Bennison, Harry Duke w, George Hill, Dom Bess c, Ben Coad, Ben Cliff, Isaac Bepey.

The rain has passed

That light rain has disappeared now, and the cover is off the cut strip.

Good morning...

From North Marine Road, where it’s an overcast and damp start to the day ahead of an 11am start to the Metro Bank One-Day Cup clash with Hampshire.

There’s a touch of rain, more a sea fret, with us at the moment.

These two counties are placed in Group B alongside Derbyshire, Durham, Essex, Glamorgan, Middlesex. Worcestershire and Sussex.

Hampshire were beaten finalists last year, by Worcestershire at Trent Bridge. But they beat Yorkshire at Scarborough in the semi thanks largely to a stunning century from Liam Dawson, who won’t be available today.

Both sides come into this fixture on the back of disappointments. Yorkshire were beaten by Somerset in the Vitality Blast semi-final at Headingley last Wednesday afternoon, while Hampshire went a couple of steps further and were beaten in the final by Northamptonshire at Edgbaston on Saturday evening.

There will be some personnel changes to both sides as a result of Hundred action. That competition also starts today.

You can read our preview of today’s game, with Anthony McGrath, via the link below.

There’s a live stream on offer as well, and it will be embedded at the top of the page as usual before we get going.

Enjoy the day.
