Live: Warwickshire Bears v Yorkshire Women, Metro Bank ODC

Yorkshire are back in action for the first time since mid-July, following the break for The Hundred. They are aiming for win number four in 11 in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup. Follow this page for updates.

Yorkshire beaten by 57 runs DLS

Hannah Rainey has been bowled by Charis Pavely, with Yorkshire 202 all out.

That’s our seventh defeat in 11 in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup.

Claudie Cooper with four wickets and Sterre Kalis with 52 stood out for Yorkshire.

Em Arlott with 44 and three wickets impressed for the Bears, who have boosted their own knockout hopes.

Yorkshire 198-9, 40th over

Claudie Cooper has been stumped off Phoebe Brett.

Warwickshire nearly there.

Yorkshire 176-8, 36.1 overs

Beth Langston has been stumped off Phoebe Brett’s left-arm spin.

Yorkshire need 84 more to in 10 overs.

Claudie Cooper in alongside Sarah Glenn, who has 30.

Hang on, two in two balls. Charis Pavely’s left-arm spin has got Glenn caught at cover.

Hannah Rainey in now.

Yorkshire 163-6 after 34 overs

Yorkshire need 97 more to win in 12 overs.

Sarah Glenn 22 and Beth Langston 10.

The rate is climbing. The rebuild can’t afford to go on for much longer.

Kalis gone for 52

Sterre Kalis has been trapped lbw by Em Arlott, who has just returned to the attack. First ball back, third wicket.

Kalis impressed for 52, but Yorkshire are 144-6 in the 30th over.

Beth Langston in now alongside Sarah Glenn, who has 15.

Kalis 50

Sterre Kalis reaches her fifty off 66 balls.

Yorkshire 139-5 in the 28th over chasing 260 in 46.

Game on!

Yorkshire 126-5. 26th over

Sterre Kalis has 38 and has found another partner in Sarah Glenn, who has 11.

We need 134 more in just over 20 overs.

Oh no!

Phoebe Brett entices another attacking shot from Ami Campbell, who slices a catch up to short fine-leg running around behind the keeper.

Campbell goes for 35, and Yorkshire are 97-5 in the 21st.

Sarah Glenn in now. Sterre Kalus has 21, and we’re chasing 260 in 46.

Yorkshire 95-4, 20 overs

A strong and fast recovery from Yorkshire thanks to Sterre Kalis 21 and Ami Campbell 33.

They’ve advanced the score from 51-4. Excellent.

Campbell starts quickly

Talking about not letting the rate climb. Well, that’s something Ami Campbell won’t do.

She’s 14 off five balls, including drilling Phoebe Brett over long-off for six.

66-4 after 16 overs.

Yorkshire 51-4, 15 overs

Erin Thomas trapped lbw by a full Mary Taylor delivery.

Sterre Kalis 16 has been joined at the crease by Ami Campbell.

Yorkshire 50-3, 15th over

Yorkshire in that position of being caught between a rock and a hard place.

They need to rebuild, which Sterre Kalis and Erin Thomas are trying to do. But they can’t afford to let this rate spiral either. The target is 260 in 46.

Yorkshire 28-3, 10th over

Em Arlott has bowled Alice Clarke, 5.

Erin Thomas in alongside Sterre Kalis as we chase 260 in 46 overs.

Yorkshire 21-2, 7 overs

Jess Jonassen caught at backward point following a sliced drive at Alexa Stonehouse, 9.

Big blow for Yorkshire. Sterre Kalis in at the crease, joining Alice Clarke, who has 3.

Through six overs of Yorkshire's chase....

The visitors are 16-1 chasing 260 in 46.

Alice Clarke has 3 and Jess Jonassen 8.

Winfield-Hill goes

Lauren Winfield-Hill has been trapped lbw playing around a full ball from future team-mate Em Arlott.

Yorkshire 5-1 in the second over.

Jess Jonassen in alongside Alice Clarke.

Chase of 260 in 46 overs underway

Alexa Stonehouse has the new ball for Warwickshire, with Lauren Winfield-Hill and Alice Clarke opening the batting for Yorkshire.

Four wickets for Claudie Cooper today.

All set to go again here at Edgbaston

We will be restarting at 3.05pm, with Yorkshire now chasing 260 in 46 overs.

Sun's out at Edgbaston

Covers are coming off, and I suspect it won’t be too long before get going again. 3-3.15pm, something like that.

Rain continues to fall

The covers remain on at Edgbaston, though blue sky is heading our way.

It's a touch wet at Edgbaston

We have some mid-innings rain at Edgbaston. The covers are coming on.

Yorkshire will be chasing 270...

Warwickshire finish on 269-9, with two wickets for Sarah Glenn in the final over. Claudie Cooper stood out with four.

Jonassen gets Arlott...

But not before some damage.

She’s been stumped for 44 off 19 balls.

Warwickshire are 264-7 in the 49th over now.

Arlott on the charge

Em Arlott has 37 in 16 balls and has taken Warwickshire to 253-6 with 13 balls remaining.

Four for Cooper

In the search for quick runs at the end, Nat Wraith drills Claudie Cooper head high to Hannah Rainey at mid-off. Cooper has four wickets now, and Warwickshire are 229-6 in the 47th.

Warwickshire 209-5, 45th over

Charis Pavely has been stumped by Lauren Winfield-Hill off Claudie Cooper, who has a third wicket.

Yorkshire dragging this back nicely.

Warwickshire 200-4, 43rd over

Brooke Halliday skies Claudie Cooper to mid-wicket, falling for 37.

Cooper has a second wicket and in comes Em Arlott.

Warwickshire 190-3, 40 overs

The home side will be looking at 260-270 here.

Brooke Halliday 32 and Charis Pavely 11.

Woolston gets Austin

Meg Austin is caught and bowled by Jess Woolston for a well made 94.

Warwickshire are 171-3 in the 38th over. Charis Pavely comes to the crease to join Brooke Halliday, who has 24.

15 overs left, Bears 154-2

Meg Austin has 83 and Brooke Halliday 19.

Jess Woolston is searching for a breakthrough that Yorkshire need.

Austin powers!!

Meg Austin has decided it’s time to kick on. She has played some aggressive shots in the last 10 minutes or so and has moved to 71 out of 127-2 after 31 overs.

Austin 50

81 balls for Meg Austin, who has taken Warwickshire to 106-2 in the 30th over.

They’re going to need to put their foot down in this last 20, which won’t be easy against the likes of Glenn and Jonassen.

Claudie Cooper strikes!

Katie George, on 27, has pulled a full toss out to deep square-leg, where Erin Thomas takes a smart low catch.

On initial viewing was a touch concerned it might be a no ball but the umpires waved it away pretty quickly.

New Zealander Brooke Halliday in now alongside Meg Austin, who has 37.

Slow outfield

You’d think with the dry spell we’ve had that the outfield would be lightning, but it’s far from it.

Three shots off the bat that I can remember seemed certain boundaries but held up in the deep and resulted in two.

Warwickshire 74-1 in the 22nd over.

Meg Austin has 30 and Katie George 22.

Yorkshire keeping things in check

Would argue that both sides will be reasonably happy with where the game’s at.

Warwickshire 63-1 in the 19th over, wickets in hand.

Yorkshire, though, are limiting the runs.

It would be no surprise to see a couple of quick wickets fall, and then the game looks very different.

Glenn on too

Spin from both ends now, with Sarah Glenn introduced.

Warwickshire 37-1 in the 12th.

Jess Jonassen into the attack

Yorkshire are trying to put the squeeze on the Bears here, and our Australian left-arm spinner is into the attack to try and do just that.

Short mid-wicket and shortish cover in.

Warwickshire 35-1 in the 11th over.

Meg Austin has 10 and Katie George 5.

Warwickshire 27-1, 9th over

Mix-up between Meg Austin and Davina Perrin run out at the striker’s end by a combination of Alice Clarke and Lauren Winfield-Hill.

Once Perrin is short, she looks back at her partner in disbelief.

Austin just drills it to short cover and sets off for a single, Perrin hesitates but goes and is even short with a Winfield-Hill fumble.

Even now as I type, Austin tries to take a kamikaze single to mid-on and gets away with it as the throw misses the stumps.

Warwickshire 15-0, 5th over

Settled start from the Bears.

Hang on, just as I type, Meg Austin miscues a pull at Hannah Rainey and it just evades Sterre Kalis back-peddling from mid-off.

It’s 17-0 now.

Rainey with the new ball

Hannah Rainey is opening the bowling for Yorkshire, with Davina Perrin and Meg Austin opening the batting for Warwickshire.

The sun’s shining at Edgbaston.

Just one off the first over, Jess Woolston sharing the new ball.

Warwickshire win it and elect to bat

Yorkshire: Lauren Winfield-Hill c/w, Alice Clarke, Jess Jonassen, Sterre Kalis, Erin Thomas, Ami Campbell, Sarah Glenn, Beth Langston, Claudie Cooper, Hannah Rainey, Jess Woolston.

Em Arlott plays for Warwickshire against the team she will join in the winter.

Headingley always delivers

It’s also the start of the men’s Test Match between England and Pakistan at Headingley today, a venue where there has been special moment after special moment in Test Cricket.

Joe Root’s first match back as permanent Test captain and with Harry Brook in the side, it promises to be more of the same.

Play is due to start at 11am back at home.

Good morning....

From Edgbaston, where it’s a dry and bright morning ahead of our One-Day Cup clash with Warwickshire, beginning at 10.30am.

This is the first of six remaining fixtures in the group stages, with a top-three finish the aim. Yorkshire are currently eight points adrift of third-placed Durham with 30 available.

This is Yorkshire’s first fixture since July 12, a Vitality Blast defeat at Headingley against The Blaze. They had won their previous three games. It’s also the first One-Day Cup since June 23, also a defeat to The Blaze. That one was at Chesterfield.

Yorkshire can still qualify for the knockouts, but they’re going to need to be pretty much flawless from here on in.

Em Arlott is in Warwickshire’s squad for today’s game, with the prospect of her facing the county she will join this winter. There are no surprises in Yorkshire’s squad for today’s game.

Warwickshire are on the coat-tails of the top three, and we’ve previewed this game with White Rose head coach Rich Pyrah. That’s linked below.

There will be a live stream available at the top of the page before we get going. Enjoy the day.
