Surrey 41-0, 11th over
Solid enough start to the day for Surrey as they chase 185.
There’s been some stifled appeals from Yorkshire so far.
All set...
Overcast and muggy conditions as Surrey resume their chase of 185. They are 27-0, needing 158 more to win.
Jack White will get us underway.
11.15am start
We will be getting underway in just over 45 minutes’ time.
Rain has stopped
The ground staff are just starting to clear things up.
Much bleaker scene now
The full covers are on, and it’s grey all around. No break in the clouds.
A 10.30am start looks unlikely at present.
Good morning...
From The Kia Oval, where it’s raining. Nothing too heavy but persistent enough.
Obviously, we will have to wait and see in terms of a 10.30am start. But we should still get enough play to wrap up this match one way or another.
As I type, the ground staff are bringing the full covers on.
When we do get going, Surrey will resume on 27-0 in pursuit of 185.
You could make an argument for both sides being favourites, but it will be a fascinating few hours of cricket.
If conditions remain as bowler-friendly as they have done, Yorkshire have a great chance. And this rain shouldn’t do them any harm whatsoever.
We spoke to Mick Lewis yesterday to reflect on day two, and that piece is linked below.

Enjoy the day.
