Good afternoon...
From the Utilita Bowl, Southampton, where it’s another glorious summer’s day.
It’s not quite as hot as it was yesterday, for example. The temperature at one point on the drive down read 38 degrees!
Our women kick things off from 3pm looking for their first win in seven games in the Blast. They face a Hampshire side who have designs on Finals Day. This begins the second half of the group stage following a short break for some One-Day Cup matches to be played.
The men, meanwhile, get going under lights at 7pm. This is their second cross-group fixture having played Gloucestershire at Headingley at the end of last month. It is a fixture which pits the leaders of the North Group against the leaders of the South. Yorkshire have won four of six games, Hampshire five of six.
You can read our previews for both games via the links below. The women’s game is previewed by off-spinner Claudie Cooper and the men’s game is previewed by head coach Anthony McGrath.
Both games will be available on the live stream today, which will be embedded at the top of the page as the days progresses. The women’s game is on now, and we will swap that with the men’s link later on.
Enjoy the day.
