Good morning...
It’s another bright start to the day in Cardiff, where we’re all set to go at 11am. The sun is shining, the covers are off.
No doubt, Yorkshire are on the back foot in this one, with Glamorgan at 111-3 in their second innings and leading by 187.
With Colin Ingram and Kiran Carlson at the crease, they will be hopeful of pushing on this morning to set Yorkshire a 300 plus target in around 65-70 overs you would think.
At this stage, while all results are possible, you’d have to say that the draw remains the clear favourite.
The problem Glamorgan are going to have, and Yorkshire later, is combating a slow pitch to score at any kind of rate to break free, whether that’s whilst setting a target or chasing one. It will be interesting to see how things go.
You can recap yesterday’s action via our Match Report and reaction piece with Sam Whiteman, who made 48 yesterday and looked in excellent order before being trapped lbw by Mason Crane’s leg-spin.
As ever, the live stream will be available shortly before the start of play today.
Just to recap as well, Jonny Bairstow has suffered a small fracture on the top of right thumb and will miss the Championship clash with Hampshire at Headingley next weekend. He will be available for Sussex at Headingley, starting on April 24 under the new ECB rules. And Yorkshire’s management are confident he will be.
