“We wanted to have a bowl first because there was plenty in it. We beat the bat quite a bit, but we were probably a bit short and wide for the second half of the first session.
“Second session, we were on it and didn’t get the luck we maybe deserved.
“At the end, Gregory’s come out and been really positive and put his foot down.
“It’s a bit frustrating not to bowl them out for a cheaper score really.
“We have to come back in the morning, knock them over early and get batting. It’s going to be a hard slog now, especially given we’re down to three bowlers.
“Matthew Fisher has hurt his toe. A couple of weeks ago, he cut his toe quite badly in a Lions game and had stitches in it. It appears to have gone again, and he’ll probably need more stitches.
“I haven’t had a problem with it (bowling against Somerset) because I’m still a Yorkshire player. If anything, it’s galvanised me a little bit more.
“I’m professional, and I have a lot of pride. I want to do my best for Yorkshire while I’m still here.”

Tea Report
David Willey and Jack Brooks have struck again during the opening afternoon against Somerset at Emerald Headingley.
The start of this Specsavers County Championship match has been evenly contested, with the visitors reaching tea at 205-4 from 64 overs.
Willey and Brooks claimed a wicket apiece this morning after electing to bowl and have done so again in the afternoon.
James Hildreth (81) and Pakistani Azhar Ali, unbeaten on 82, have both posted fifties.
Hildreth fell when he was caught at first slip off Willey, leaving the score at 142-3 in the 41st and breaking a 137 partnership between Hildreth and Azhar as they recovered from 5-2.
Brooks then had captain Tom Abell caught behind for 12 – 170-4 in the 55th over.
Azhar reached a patient fifty off 118 balls in between the two wickets. He will have Steve Davies for company unbeaten on 15.

Lunch Report
Yorkshire had early success with the ball during the opening morning against Somerset at Emerald Headingley, but the visitors have hit back since.
Somerset, invited to bat, slipped to 5-2 inside eight overs before reaching lunch at 105-2 from 30.
Somerset opted to toss, lost it and were inserted.
Openers Ed Byrom and Marcus Trescothick both fell early – Byrom caught behind fending at a Jack Brooks short ball and Trescothick driving loosely to second slip off David Willey.
However, third-wicket pair James Hildreth and Pakistan overseas batsman Azhar Ali have ensured no further loss through to lunch, sharing 100. They have 55 and 41 respectively.
Hildreth led the way in a counter-attacking partnership and reached 50 off 56 balls, while Azhar will hope to follow him there in the early stages of the afternoon.
Yorkshire have made two changes to their team.
Andrew Hodd has come back in behind the stumps for injured Jonny Tattersall (back spasm), while Josh Shaw has come in for Josh Poysden.
12.48pm James Hildreth has reached a 56-ball fifty with nine fours. Somerset 90-2 in the 27th over.

Good morning from Emerald Headingley, where it is overcast but dry ahead of our latest Specsavers County Championship match with second-placed Somerset (11am).
This is the first Championship cricket at Headingley since the second week of the season when Nottinghamshire were beaten (April 20-23).
Yorkshire are aiming for a fourth win from 10 matches and to put last week’s defeat to Worcestershire at Scarborough behind them. It would also give them breathing space above the bottom two places in the division.
Those are occupied by bottom side Lancashire and Worcester, who face each other at Southport this week.
Mat Pillans is in the squad, but he may have to wait for his debut. There was an injury concern over Jack Brooks, who was complaining of a stiff back. But that has subsided, and he will face the county he will join ahead of next season.
Kane Williamson plays his last game before returning to New Zealand to prepare for their forthcoming run of internationals.
