Match Centre

4.56pm – The covers are coming on now with some rain in the air. That’s it. Match draw. Yorkshire will take 16 points from this draw, just as they did last week.

4.30pm – No change in the scene here, unfortunately.

4.19pm – We’re off because of lightning – and thunder follows. Glamorgan 372-7 with a lead of 74.

4.11pm – WICKET! Harris trapped lbw by Lyth, 3. 370-7, a Glamorgan lead of 72. Northeast still there on 141.

Plenty of time left. Don’t want to be the spoiler here, though, but the floodlights are on and the light isn’t perfect.

4.07pm – Yorkshire women lost their Roses battle against Lancashire at Castleford today, a 22-run defeat in a 50-over clash which saw them bowled out for 112 chasing 135. They have won one and lost one in the county cup so far this season.

4.02pm – The evening session has started, and Glamorgan are 363-6 with a lead of 65. Bess bowling. In theory, we should have around 32 overs remaining.

3.40pm – Tea. WICKET! Lyth traps Bevan lbw with the final ball of the session. 362-6, a Glamorgan lead of 64. Yorkshire still have it all to do in the final session to claim victory. Glamorgan lead by 64. Northeast 136. Root struck twice in the afternoon as well.

3.15pm – We have 25 minutes to tea. Glamorgan are 345-5 with a lead of 47. Northeast 127 and Bevan 5. Bess and Moriarty in tandem.

2.47pm – WICKET! Cooke plays on to Root, 8. It’s 329-5 now, a Glamorgan lead of 31. The door is ajar once more. Northeast remains on 117.

2.33pm – Glamorgan are 312-4, a lead of 14. Northeast 106 and Cooke 2. We have a minimum of 44 overs remaining in the day. We will have time for more given the speed at which Yorkshire have bowled with the spinners, but difficult to know how many more.

2.02pm – Northeast reaches his century off 226 balls with 12x4s. 304-4.

1.59pm – WICKET! Ingram caught by Masood back-peddling from mid-off against Root for a fine 113. Glamorgan 303-4 in the 94th over, a lead of 5. We have just over 56 overs left, but we’ll get more in given Yorkshire have rattled through with spin. End of a 210 partnership with Northeast, who is 99.

1.50pm – Glamorgan 298-3 in the 97th over and level now. Ingram 112 and Northeast 95. They have shared an unbroken 205.

1.44pm – Lyth sharing early afternoon bowling duties. Glamorgan 284-3.

1.41pm – Play is about to resume after lunch. Glamorgan 277-3, trailing by 21. Ingram 103 and Northeast 84. Root with the ball.

1.01pm – Lunch. Certainly not the session Yorkshire were hoping for. Ingram and Northeast have batted through unbroken, taking the score to 277-3 after 94 overs. They have shared 184 for the fourth wicket to reach 103 and 84 respectively. A few oohs and aahs, but no chances of significance. Glamorgan trail by only 21 now.

12.58pm – Ingram reaches an impressive century off 202 balls with 18x4s. Glamorgan 273-3, trailing by 25.

12.35pm – Ingram has just hit Revis for three fours in a row to end the 87th over. Glamorgan are 248-3, trailing by 50. Northeast 78 and Ingram 84. They have shared 155 unbroken. Yorkshire need a wicket.

12.19pm – Glamorgan 232-3 in the 84th, bowled by Revis. Fisher not on the field and didn’t warm up this morning.

12.05pm – Coad has taken the new ball. Glamorgan 215-3, trailing by 83. There is a minimum of 76 overs remaining in the day, but we should get more given the speed at which Yorkshire have bowled this morning.

11.52am – Root into the attack in place of Bess. Glamorgan 208-3.

11.37am – Glamorgan’s deficit is now down to 100. Northeast 57 and Ingram 59. They are 198-3. Bess and Moriarty continue.

11.27am – Northeast and Ingram have reached their fifties, off 140 and 121 balls respectively. Glamorgan 182-3 after 69 overs. They trail by 116.

11.03am – Bess starts with a maiden. Glamorgan 171-3 after 61 overs. Moriarty to Ingram now. Nineteen overs to the new ball.

10.59am – Play about to get going. Bess to Northeast.

9.25am – It was hazy sunshine about an hour ago when we set this blog. Now, it’s absolutely glorious. Ottis Gibson is even out there in t-shirt and shorts. Whatever next! He’s just about to go into the nets with his dog-stick slinger.

8.20am – Good morning from Headingley, where it’s a blue sky start to the final day of our Vitality County Championship match against Glamorgan.

Let’s hope the mood matches the weather come this evening, or hopefully earlier if things go well.

Glamorgan will start the day on 171-3 in their second innings, 127 runs behind. They have high hopes themselves of securing a draw. But they have a lot to do for that to happen.

Yorkshire have a new ball available in 20 overs’ time, which should be a significant factor.

The hosts had to work hard for their wickets yesterday afternoon and evening. But if they can whip out Sam Northeast and/or Colin Ingram quickly this morning – they start on 46 and 43 respectively – things could happen quickly.

Earlier yesterday, Fin Bean completed 173 and Joe Root 156, both superb knocks, while Harry Brook and Jonny Tattersall added half-centuries.

It was Tattersall who we spoke to last night to get his thoughts on the day. You can read that and the match report via the links below.

Tattersall also gave an update on Matthew Fisher after the fast bowler went over on his left ankle by the boundary rope attempting to stop a ball yesterday afternoon. He was unsure of the exact nature of the problem but said that the plan was to assess him overnight and this morning. It’s unlikely Fisher will bowl today, and Tattersall quite rightly pointed out that the week’s break coming up may have arrived at a good time for Fisher.

Yorkshire women are also in action today. They are looking to go two wins from two at the start of the season when they take on Lancashire in a 50-over match at Castleford.

The live stream for day four is available via the Match Centre tab at the top of the page. Enjoy the day, which is all set for a prompt start at 11am.
