10.48am – There’s a bit more cloud around as we approach the start of play. But the sun still shines bright.

9.50am – Good morning from Wantage Road, where we’re all set for a full day’s play. You can’t say that with a great deal of certainty on many occasions in England, but today looks like one of the rare times you can.

Watch it rain at 11.30am now, hey!

Yorkshire will begin day two on 312-7 having had a good day yesterday. Adam Lyth scored a brilliant 109 – a determined effort to see off the new ball and progress on a difficult pitch.

Fingers crossed, Matthew Revis and Jordan Thompson can add another 50 or 60 this morning with the rest of the tail. Then it’s all about Vishwa Fernando and the bowlers.
