3.37pm – Masood has faced an eventful first over from Keogh, the Northamptonshire off-spinner. He has a huge appeal for lbw turned down one ball – you’ve seen them given – and next ball survives a missed stumping from McManus. Both on 42. Yorkshire 184-1 with Lyth 99 after 58 overs.

11.54am – Yorkshire will be delighted with this start. It’s 35-0 in the 13th over.

11.47am – Northamptonshire still searching for the morning breakthrough. Yorkshire 23-0 after 11. Lyth 12, Bean 8.

11.28am – Batting looks far from straightforwards. There’s been a number of lbw appeal, most of them stifled, and a couple of edges and miscues which have fallen just short of fielders. Yorkshire 12-0 in the seventh.

11.16am – Lyth has driven the first boundary through the covers, off seamer White. Yorkshire 9-0 in the fourth over.

10.59am – The live stream link is available at the top of the page.

10.58am – Sanderson is taking the new ball for Northamptonshire to get us going. Lyth on strike.

10.31am – Yorkshire have lost the toss and have been invited to bat.

Yorkshire: Bean, Lyth, Masood c, Wharton, Luxton, Hill, Tattersall w, Revis, Thompson, Leech, Fernando.

10.06am – The pitch remains untouched following our first update. The one being used is also quite a long way across to the scoreboard side of this ground, so we have one boundary which is significantly shorter than the other.

9.25am – Good morning from Wantage Road, a dry and bright Wantage Road no less. We’re all set for a start on time at 11am.

Right now, the pitch has a significant green tinge to it. That may mean little in the sense that the ground-staff may yet mow it before the start of play, and even then one of the locals in the media has said that a green look can often mean it still favours the bat. We shall see.

Vishwa Fernando is just heading out to start his warm-ups ahead of a debut. Adam Lyth, who plays his 200th Championship match, is already out there.

Yorkshire are looking to bounce back from Sunday’s defeat against Sussex at Hove, their second defeat added to four draws so far this summer. Northamptonshire are also searching for their first win. They have drawn five and lost one.

This is the last four-day fixture until late June. Until then, we will be turning our attentions to the start of the Vitality Blast.

We previewed this game with George Hill, who has had personal success on this ground in the past, and Ottis Gibson. You can read it via the link below.

Hopefully, the live stream will be available via the Match Centre tab at the top of the page. If not, we will advise closer to the start of play. Enjoy the day.
