6.16pm – Middlesex have reached 51-2 in the 11th over. Stoneman has 23 of them.

6.04pm – There will be a 6.10pm resumption with 15 overs remaining in the day. A further 10 have been lost. Middlesex will resume on 37-2 from nine in reply to 159.

5.50pm – The umpires will inspect here at 6pm. The rain has stopped, and the ground staff are removing the covers.

5.31pm – And the rain follows quickly.

5.29pm – WICKET! Edwards gets Holden caught behind, 12. It’s 37-2 after nine overs. And we’re off for bad light.

5.19pm – It would be a big surprise if we get through the 27 and a bit overs remaining. The light isn’t amazing and the floodlights are on. Middlesex 32-1 in the seventh over, bowled by Edwards. He’s come into the attack in place of Coad.

5.06pm – WICKET! Fernandes bowled by Thompson, 6. 18-1 in the fourth over.

4.54pm – Coad has the new ball in hand at the Pavilion End. We have 34 overs remaining in the day. Stoneman and Fernandes opening the batting for Middlesex as they respond to 159. Early lbw shout for Coad against Fernandes. Just looked to be outside the line. Thompson sharing the new ball. 

4.41pm – WICKET! Moriarty caught at second slip off Roland-Jones, 14. Yorkshire 159 all out inside 38 overs. Masood top-scored with 33 and Higgins claimed 4-31.

4.30pm – The rain has stopped, and the players are on their way back out to the middle. The floodlights are on now. One more over lost from the day’s allocation – 22 in all. Yorkshire 146-9 in the 36th over.

4.11pm – We’re off for rain. Yorkshire 146-9 in the 36th over. Tea will be taken.

4.04pm – WICKET! Coad caught at second slip off Higgins, 24. It’s 142-9 in the 35th over. Edwards in now to join Moriarty. We could have a delayed tea (due at 4.05pm) with nine wickets being down.

3.47pm – WICKET! Hill bowled by Higgins, 16. It’s 131-8 in the 31st over. Moriarty in to join Coad, who has 19.

3.41pm – Hill and Coad have hit three boundaries apiece and have 16. We’ve moved to 127-7 in the 30th.

3.27pm – WICKET! Two lbws in the over for Higgins. Thompson goes without scoring. It’s 98-7 in the 27th.

3.25pm – WICKET! Tattersall trapped lbw by Higgins, 5. We’re 98-6 in the 27th over. Thompson in alongside Hill.

3.16pm – Life for Hill as he’s dropped low down at second slip on nought off Higgins. Du Plooy got his hand to it diving across first slip. 91-5 in the 25th.

3.11pm – Yorkshire 89-5 in the 24th over. Middlesex are certainly making the most of their decision to bowl first. Tattersall 2 and Hill yet to get off the mark.

2.54pm – WICKET! Masood lbw Bamber, 33. Yorkshire fall to 87-5 in the 20th over. Tattersall in to join Hill, who is yet to face a ball.

2.52pm – SIX! Masood cuts Helm over point, moving to 32. 86-4 in the 19th.

2.49pm – WICKET! Bamber gets Brook caught low down at second slip, 3. It’s 80-4. Hill in now alongside Masood, 26.

2.33pm – WICKET! Root caught in the gully off Helm, 5. Yorkshire 75-3 in the 15th. Brook in to join Masood, who has 24.

2.28pm – We’ve moved on to 75-2 in the 14th over as Masood clips Roland-Jones off his legs for four. He has 24 and Root 5.

2.17pm – WICKET! Bean bowled by Roland-Jones, 29. Looked like it was an inside-edge. Falls for 29. 64-2 in the 12th. Root in now to join his skipper, Masood.

1.58pm – We have lost 21 overs from the day’s allocation. So 41-1 after seven, and we have 68 remaining in the day.

1.51pm – There will be a 2pm resumption here at Lord’s, with the ground now bathed in glorious sunshine.

1.30pm – There will be another inspection at 1.45pm.

1.18pm – A further inspection will take place at 1.25pm.

1.07pm – The rain has stopped, and the covers are coming off. There is quite a lot of water on the edge of the square, but that should clear in a flash.

12.56pm – The sun is out, and the umpires are out having a look. But the rain is still falling.

12.10pm – Umpires Shantry and Illingworth have called for a 12.30pm lunch.

12.04pm – Hosing down here now.

11.40am – Despite being reasonably bright, it’s raining pretty hard.

11.30am – We’re off for rain, unfortunately. Yorkshire 41-1 after seven overs. Bean 16, Masood 8.

11.20am – WICKET! Lyth trapped lbw by Roland-Jones, 15. We’re 29-1 in the sixth over. Masood in now.

11.14am – Yorkshire 25-0 after four overs. Lyth has 15 and Bean 10.

11am – We’re up and running here at Lord’s, and Lyth has the first boundary – beautifully driven down the ground off Bamber in the first over. 4-0.

10.32am – Middlesex have won the toss and will bowl first.

9.35am – Good morning from Lord’s, where it’s an overcast start to the day ahead of our clash with Middlesex.

The players are warming up on the Nursery Ground and on the outfield, and we’re all set for an 11am start.

The pitch is over towards the Grandstand side of this ground, slap bang in line with the Yorkshire dressing room in fact.

Both sides have drawn their first two games, with Middlesex racking up the runs in their games with Glamorgan here and Northamptonshire away. They have posted scores of 655 and 553-2 in the first innings of those fixtures.

Harry Brook and Joe Root continue to be available for Yorkshire. In fact, the full Yorkshire squad is below.
