Adam Lyth said: “It was a fantastic win. It was a bit too close for my liking, but a win’s a win.

“I thought the first half, especially, we were fantastic.

“One more win on Thursday against Northants (secure’s knockout qualification).

“Hopefully we can keep batting like we have done.

“We knew Lancashire were going to come at us, and we just got it wrong for about a 10-over period. That’s too long when they have some fantastic players.

“I don’t want to put a downer on it, but we can be a good 10-15 percent better with the ball. If we were, we would have won that 70 or 80 runs. We also dropped two catches, myself and Liam Plunkett.

“That’s my fifth (List A hundred now).

“Dave was fantastic. He comes in at three for a bit of a pinch-hitting role, but he said ‘It’s a good wicket, I’m going to bat some time’.

“I was going well at the other end, and it gave him five or six overs to work out the pitch and his scoring shots. When he got past 25, he was sublime.

“We knew coming here that two wins would get us through. If we can, we’ll see who we get.”

6.42pm YORKSHIRE WIN! Parry trapped lbw by Willey (4-59) and Lancs are all out 363. 16-run win. One more win will secure knockout cricket.

6pm We have 10 overs remaining and Lancashire are hanging in at 288-6. They need 92 more to win. Clark has 16 and Bohannon 13. They’ve been watchful for last half hour or so, but they will need to go soon.

5.21pm Rashid gets his second, Jones stumped by Jonny Tattersall. 238-5 after 31.

5.13pm Vilas has gone, and it’s the wicket Yorkshire wanted. He’s top-edged a sweep at Adil Rashid and been caught between square-leg and short fine-leg for 47. 232-4 in the 29th.

4.08pm Lancashire are 102-1 after 14 overs. Both Jennings and Livingstone are 43. Jennings recently survived a very very very close run out call on 33, Willey throwing stumps down from mid-off.

3.55pm We’re 10 overs through the Lancashire chase as Liam Plunkett enters the attack. The hosts are 70-1 chasing 380. Livingstone and Jennings have shared 50 for the second wicket.

3.27pm Lancashire are 20-0 after five overs. Alex Davies 10, Keaton Jennings 6….Breakthrough. Now it’s 20-1 as Davies is caught at point off Matthew Fisher.

3.05pm Lancashire’s chase of 380 is underway. Keaton Jennings and Alex Davies are opening. Jennings facing David Willey.

Mid-innings report

David Willey and Adam Lyth scored stunning centuries as Yorkshire set Lancashire an imposing target of 380 in today’s Royal London one-day Cup clash at Emirates Old Trafford.

A must win North Group game for the Vikings saw Willey smash 131 off 95 balls and Lyth a career best 144 off 132 in their 379-7.

It was their highest ever List A score against another county. In 2004, they scored 411-6 against Devon at Exmouth.

The pair shared a record partnership of 235 for the second wicket to advance from 12-1. It was Yorkshire’s highest ever second-wicket stand, the highest for any wicket by either side in Roses List A cricket and Yorkshire’s third highest partnership ever.

Lancashire, defending a short boundary towards the Stretford side of Old Trafford, did not help themselves as they dropped a handful of catches, including Lyth on 117 and 127, and conceded the most they have ever done in a List A innings.

2.11pm Yorkshire have lost a fifth wicket, Harry Brook bowled by Matt Parkinson for 24. But they are ploughing on. 366-5 in the 49th. Ballance 34 off 16 balls.

1.45pm Two quick wickets for Lancashire, with Che Pujara run out for 19. 299-4 in the 43rd now. Make that 300.

1.35pm Nine overs remaining for Yorkshire and they are 284-2. Adam Lyth has 130 and Che Pujara has 18.

1.15pm David Willey’s stunning assault comes to an end on 131, bowled pulling at Liam Livingstone. He shared 235 with Adam Lyth, who has 111. It was Yorkshire’s highest ever second-wicket stand, the highest for any wicket by either side in Roses List A cricket and Yorkshire’s third highest partnership ever. 249-2 now after 36.

1.08pm Hundred for Adam Lyth off 105 balls with 14×4s. 223-1 after 34 overs. Second ton in three innings for the left-hander. Brilliant stuff.

12.52pm Adam Lyth and David Willey have shared 183 and counting to record highest stand in Roses List A matches. 195-1 in the 31st.

12.41pm Adam Lyth and David Willey have shared 160 and are closing in a Yorkshire v Lancashire record partnership. 172-1 after 28 overs. Lyth has 77 and Willey 88.

12.15pm Swept boundary for Willey off Matt Parkinson’s leg-spin and then reverse swept boundary for Lyth later in the over. 108-1 after 21 overs.

11.51am Adam Lyth reaches 50 off 52 balls and David Willey has just pulled Keaton Jennings for two sixes, one over long-leg and then over mid-wicket. 69-1 after 14.

11.38am Lyth moves to 40 with an eighth boundary, lovely punch down the ground off Jordan Clark. Yorkshire 42-1 after 10 overs.

11.30am Yorkshire 33-1 after eight overs, with Lyth on 31 with six boundaries. Yorkshire will be facing a trial by spin in the not too distant future, with Parkinson, Parry and Livingstone all lined up to bowl.

11.11am Tom Kohler-Cadmore has fallen lbw to Tom Bailey without scoring. 12-1 after three overs. That becomes 16-1 early in the fourth as Lyth drives Jordan Clark through the covers. He’s hit three boundaries so far.

11.03am Yorkshire are up and running. 4-0 after one over. Adam Lyth cut the first ball from Tom Bailey for four, which took a wicked bounce off the foot holes on an unprepared pitch and nearly took backward point’s head off as it raced to the fence.

10.34am Lancashire: Hameed, Davies, Jennings, Livingstone c, Vilas w, Jones, Clark, Bohannon, Bailey, Parry, Parkinson.

Yorkshire: Lyth, Kohler-Cadmore, Pujara, Ballance, Brook, Willey, Rashid, Tattersall w, Patterson c, Plunkett, Fisher.

10.32am Yorkshire have won the toss and will bat first.

Good morning from Emirates Old Trafford, where the sun is shining.

This is a must win game for Yorkshire in terms of their qualification hopes. Lancashire are already out, and this is their final North Group fixture.

For Yorkshire, they have to win this and Thursday’s final group game against Northants. There is a scenario that three points may get them through, but that would rely on other results and rain or ties.

If the Vikings win this and beat Northants on Thursday, they are through to the knockout rounds. We start at 11am.
