Close D1

6.23pm – WICKET! Price bowled by Coad, 5. It’s 19-2 in the 13th over, the day’s penultimate.

6.16pm – Milnes will replace Fisher (1-5 from five overs). Gloucestershire 14-1 after 11 overs. Three more to come tonight. They’re replying to 326.

6pm – WICKET! Dent has played on to Fisher, 7. It’s 14-1 in the eighth.

5.37pm – The Gloucestershire reply to 326 all out is underway. They are 7-0 in the second over, Fisher and Coad sharing the new ball.

5.22pm – WICKET! Fisher top-edges behind off Akhter, 20. 326 all out in the 80th over. We will have 14 overs to bowl tonight. Excellent effort from 90-5, with Masood 140 the key. Akhter impressed with 5-89.

5.16pm – Fisher has just hammered de Lange over mid-wicket for six – over the stand and into the car park. Gave himself room and connected sweetly. 317-9. He has 15.

5.12pm – WICKET! Coad caught at mid-off, 8. Akhter gets his fourth. It’s 311-9 in the 78th over. Moriarty in to join Fisher, who has 9.

5.06pm – Yorkshire 305-8 in the 77th over – second batting point secured. Fisher and Coad together now.

4.58pm – WICKET! Oh no, Milnes has been caught behind off de Lange for 51. 292-8. Coad in now.

4.56pm – Milnes reaches his fifty off 86 balls with 5x4s and a six. It’s 292-7. Fine knock.

Milnes 50

4.40pm – WICKET! Masood caught behind off de Lange for a fabulous 140. It’s 285-7 in the 71st over. Fisher in now to join Milnes, who has 44.

4.23pm – Batting point number one in the bag, and we’ve moved to 260-6 after 66 overs. Masood 126 and Milnes 33. These two have shared 70. Excellent.

4.15pm – Up and running after tea. We’re 244-6 in the 65th over. Masood 117 and Milnes 26.

3.53pm – We’ve reached tea on 243-6 from 64 overs, a fine recovery from 90-5 at lunch. Captain Masood has been at the heart of the fightback with 116 not out, while Tattersall contributed 58 and Milnes is unbeaten on 26.

Day One Tea

3.40pm – We’ve moved to 233-6 in the 60th over. Masood 112 and Milnes 20.

3.13pm – HUNDRED! Brilliant from the skipper – he gets there off 140 balls with 15x4s. We’ve moved to 203-6.

Masood 100

3.10pm – Yorkshire 198-6 after 51 overs. A couple of scares recently – Masood survived a close run out call on 90 (direct hit at non-striker’s end from mid-on) and Milnes was dropped on nought at second slip by Bancroft off Akhter. Masood 95, Milnes 3.

2.52pm – WICKET! Tattersall has played on having tried to leave Singh Dale, 58. We’re 190-6 in the 47th over. Milnes in now to join Masood on 90.

2.33pm – Run-a-ball fifty for Tattersall with 10x4s. Excellent knock, and it’s helped Yorkshire to 172-5 after 43 overs.

Tattersall fifty

2.24pm – Yorkshire 156-5 after 40 overs, with Masood 77 and Tattersall 37. These two have shared 66 inside 12 overs. Plenty of work still to do, but an encouraging and entertaining recovery nonetheless.

2.06pm – Tattersall has started in eye-catching fashion, with his 23 including five boundaries. It’s 125-5 in the 31st over. Masood has 60.

1.56pm – Masood fifty off 83 balls with 8x4s. 108-5 after 33 overs.

Masood fifty

1.40pm – We’re up and running after lunch, and Tattersall has joined Masood (49) at the crease. Yorkshire 95-5 in the 30th over. Tattersall has just pulled Shaw for four.

Glos D1 lunch

1.03pm – WICKET! Hill caught behind off Akhter, 5. 90-5 in the 29th over. And that’s lunch.

Yorkshire under early pressure thanks largely to Zaman Akhter’s three-for, including the wickets of Root and Brook. Gloucestershire have bowled nicely. Masood unbeaten on 49.

12.54pm – WICKET! Brook top-edges a pull at Akhter and is caught by de Lange running around towards mid-wicket from mid-on, 26. We’re 80-4 after 20 overs. Hill in now.

12.38pm – Brook starting to assert himself. He’s pulled Singh Dale for six and then drives the next ball for four. He has 21 out of 69-3 in the 24th over.

12.31pm – Joe Root at the crease this morning.

12.22pm – Lovely from Masood, who has driven Akhter through the covers for four, moving to 35. 52-3 in the 20th.

12pm – We have a scorecard available via the Match Centre tab above. No stream is available via that, but you can view that via the link we posted a bit further down this page. Masood and Brook have hit three boundaries between them since the Root wicket. Masood has 23 of 37-3 in the 15th.

11.50am – WICKET! Root is trapped lbw playing around one from Akhter, 2. It’s 25-3, and the hosts have bowled really nicely in the opening hour. Brook in now.

11.48am – Pacer Zaman Akhter is into the attack for Glos, and Root immediately dabs him down to third-man for a couple. We’re 25-2 in the 12th over.

11.41am – WICKET! Lyth caught low down at second slip by Bancroft off Singh Dale, 7. Yorkshire 19-2 in the 10th over. Root in now. Singh Dale’s extra pace has been a particular threat, and he gains reward courtesy of a fine catch by the Australian going to his right.

11.21am – Testing start for Yorkshire with the loss of Bean, but Lyth and Masood are working hard against Shaw and Singh Dale. Both men have found the boundary, Lyth edging Singh Dale to third-man and Masood cutting Shaw in front of square. 12-1 in the sixth over.

11.02am – WICKET! Bean bowled by Shaw, 0. It’s 1-1 in the first over. Captain Masood in now.

11am – Yorkshire 1-0 in the first over, bowled by Shaw. Lyth and Bean opening for Yorkshire.

10.51am – The live stream is available via the Gloucestershire website. The link is below.

10.42am – We usually link the scorecard from the NVplay website, but it’s down at present. We will link if and when we can. You should find the card on other sites such as BBC and Cricinfo.

10.33am – Gloucestershire have won the toss and will bowl first.

Glos team

One change from the Leicestershire game. Thompson out, Root in.

10.16am – Yorkshire chief executive Stephen Vaughan is here. He used to be chief exec at Gloucester Rugby, not too far from this parish.

9.58am – Warm-ups are in full swing here. It’s the first real sign of cricket weather that we’ve had this season.

9.25am – Good morning from Bristol, where the sun is shining and we’re all set for an 11am start in our second round Vitality County Championship clash.

Harry Brook continues to be available and will be joined by Joe Root in Yorkshire’s team this weekend.

Both sides drew their opening fixture last week; Yorkshire at home to Leicestershire and Gloucestershire away at Derbyshire. Glos didn’t actually get on the field – all four days abandoned due to a wet outfield at the county ground.

That’s exactly the fate we suffered here last April, this fixture drawn without a ball bowled. Thankfully, things are much more promising this time.

We will post the live stream details a bit closer to the start time of 11am. Enjoy the day.
