Stadium Transport Assistant – Voluntary Position
Contract: Voluntary, 2018 Season

The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation (YCF) is a registered charity that delivers community projects across the county. Using the power of sport and cricket in particular, the Foundation aims to make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of those living in Yorkshire. The role of the YCF Volunteer Programme is to offer as many opportunities for voluntary experience within a community, amateur and professional sporting environment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Major Match Day Support Team as a Stadium Transport Assistant which will contribute to the spectator experience at Emerald Headingley Stadium. The role includes transporting spectators from several car parks to the stadium entrance on motorised buggies.

The post is based at Emerald Headingley Stadium and requires the successful candidate to be available for every 2018 home fixture, starting on Sunday 20th May. Please note, where games finish ahead of scheduled time, no service will be required.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 16th May 2018, with interviews scheduled to commence Thursday 17th & Friday 18th May 2018. We are looking to make an appointment for the new post holder to join the organization in May 2018.

Based: Emerald Headingley Stadium
Contract: Voluntary, 2018 Season

Purpose

To assist and contribute to the spectator experience at Emerald Headingley Stadium by transporting spectators on motorised buggies from car parks to stadium entrance throughout the 2018 season.

Role Description

Key Areas of Work

  • Work closely with the Operations and Hospitality Department of Yorkshire County Cricket Club to ensure service provided to spectators is of highest standard.
  • Ensure safety of self and passengers at all times.

Personal Specification

Experience, Skills and Competencies – Full clean UK Driving License held for a minimum of 2 years – Be aged between 25 and 70 years (insurance purposes) – Available for each fixture.
