Yorkshire County Cricket Club is delighted to announce that seamer Jack White has extended his contract, keeping him at the White Rose until 2028.
The 33-year-old, who joined from Northamptonshire in 2024, had an excellent debut season last year, taking 42 wickets in the Rothesay County Championship at an average of 23.
His standout bowling figures were 5-69 in the final game of the season against Durham, but his impact was felt consistently across the year.
The right-hander has fast become a popular member of the squad and speaking from the ongoing pre-season training camp in Melbourne, White said he was delighted to have signed for a further two years.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far. What we want to build as a team and a Club is starting to come together, and the cricket we played last season is just the start.
“On a personal level, I felt my returns were a sign of the hard work I’ve put into my own game over the last 18 months or so. The faith that the club has shown in me so far has only motivated me more to take it to a higher level.
“I’m thoroughly looking forward to next season and getting back on the pitch with the guys.”
Gavin Hamilton, General Manager of Cricket, said: “Jack has consistently proved to be one of our best bowlers and shared the new ball exceptionally well last year.
“Having initially signed him on a two-year deal, we wanted to move quickly in ensuring Jack was rewarded with a new contract given his impact on the team so far.
“He has been such a terrific player for us, and I know that everyone is looking forward to seeing how Jack can push on and take his game further over this next period.”
