Jonny Tattersall believes Yorkshire’s forthcoming pre-season tour to Mumbai will be an extremely useful way for him to prepare for the challenge of wicketkeeping to international spin duo Keshav Maharaj and Ravi Ashwin this summer.

Tattersall flies out to India with his White Rose colleagues on Wednesday for a near fortnight-long trip which includes match practice in both two-day and Twenty20 cricket.

India is a notoriously spin-friendly cricketing environment, something which the 25-year-old is planning to make full use of given South African left-armer Maharaj and Indian offie Ashwin will share Yorkshire’s Specsavers County Championship overseas duties this summer.
