Bess Heath, Georgia Davis, Helen Fenby and Katie Levick will play in the first season of The Hundred

Katie Levick, the leading wicket-taker in the history of women’s county cricket, has today been confirmed as one of Northern Superchargers first four domestic signings in The Hundred.

The Yorkshire leg-spinner joins fellow spin bowlers Helen Fenby and Georgia Davis, as well as Bess Heath.

The four domestic players will join a squad captained by Lauren Winfield, which also features Linsey Smith, Alice Davidson-Richards and Australian superstar Alyssa Healy.

Winfield said: “It’s great to be able to announce four of our domestic signings. We found in the Kia Super League that your non-international players play such a massive role and it’s important to get the right people in.

“I think in Katie Levick we’ve got one of the best spinners in the country – as she’s shown in county cricket – and we’ve got some other really talented players.

“Together with the England and overseas players we’ve already announced we’re beginning to take shape and I’m looking forward to the whole squad coming together.”

The Hundred women’s competition kicks off on 22 July, with the men’s competition getting underway a week earlier on 17 July.
