Sunday’s one-day international at Emerald Headingley is the last chance to impress before the World Cup 15-man squad is finalised.
Jonny Bairstow, Adil Rashid and Joe Root will all retain their places, while it would be a shock if David Willey does not get the chance to bid for glory over the next couple of months given his uniqueness within the squad as a left-arm swing bowler.
It looks likely that someone will have to make way from the provisional 15 for Jofra Archer’s selection, with Tom Curran, Liam Plunkett and Chris Woakes all in the firing line.
