SCORECARD

Yorkshire’s D40 Quest side will aim to end their summer on a high this weekend when they travel across the Pennines to face national champions Lancashire.

The White Rose county’s disability first team will play their sixth and final North Group game at Mawdesley on Sunday against a side who have already won their section and are qualified for next month’s final.

Yorkshire have won one and lost three of their five games so far, the other being rained off.

On Sunday just gone, they were beaten away by Cheshire at Barrow CC in Chester.

Archie Atkins-Sloan top-scored for Yorkshire with 82 off 53 balls, including four sixes, in a 40-over total of 277-6. Curtis Sugden made 38, Daniyal Zaman 39 and Rob Hewitt 47 not out.

Hewitt and Atkins-Sloan shared a sixth-wicket 119 from 154-5.

But, in reply, Yorkshire had no answer to a brilliant opening 172 not out off 98 balls from Josh Brown, who hit 20 fours and seven sixes.

Cheshire won for the loss of two wickets inside 34 overs.
