The Specsavers County Championship match between Warwickshire and Yorkshire appears consigned to a draw after a second successive day was washed out at Edgbaston.
The torrential rain which wiped out the second day left the field so saturated that the umpires deemed play also impossible on the third.
Yorkshire will resume, weather permitting, on the final day on 261 for two with the match destined for stalemate unless the captains collude to cook up a run-chase on the last day of the 2019 season.
