I have to admit to being pretty nervous when told by Adam Lyth that I would be making my Yorkshire debut at Sussex last week. But that’s nothing compared to having to sort out the central heating at my new place this week.

For Yorkshire’s senior cricketers, runs and wickets and County Championship points are the main goals at this stage of the summer. A little bit farther down the food chain at Headingley, the focus is very different. 

At Headingley we were delighted to host a second annual special Iftar meal, which brought together members of Yorkshire’s professional squad, the Northern Diamonds, staff, and Muslim colleagues who were observing Ramadan.

The Yorkshire County Cricket Club can confirm that anyone with a 2023 Yorkshire membership will now be able to enjoy the East Stand Long Room facilities for Yorkshire and Northern Diamonds games at Headingley this year, as per previous years.
