New fast-bowling recruit Jack White says he has fulfilled a long-held ambition by signing for Yorkshire this winter.

I can’t wait for the next month-and-a-half - the early stages of the county season with Yorkshire, including our pre-season tour to Abu Dhabi, and the chance to qualify for another World Cup with Scotland.

Harry Duke hit an excellent 44 not out to revive Yorkshire’s innings following early strife as they beat the South Asian Cricket Academy in their final T20 in Abu Dhabi, with new signing Jack White also to the fore in the Desert. 

Yorkshire were beaten by Birmingham Bears in today’s Abu Dhabi Counties Super Cup fixture, despite Ben Coad claiming a wicket with the first ball of the match.

An excellent all-round contribution from Dom Bess helped Yorkshire make a winning start to their pre-season tour of Abu Dhabi, with a T20 victory over new coach Anthony McGrath’s former county Essex Eagles - by four wickets with 4.2 overs to spare.
