Yorkshire made the perfect start to this season’s Vitality Blast, comfortably chasing down a below-par 168 to win by seven wickets with 21 balls remaining. 

Yorkshire were beaten in an entertaining Vitality Blast opener by last year’s semi-finalists The Blaze, who chased a 180-target to win by four wickets with three balls to spare.

A World Cup win, an Ashes triumph, now how about a Vitality Blast win together? Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali have done a lot in the game together, but they’re not done yet.

Yorkshire arrived at county cricket’s top table at the start of this summer with a trophy under their belts, winning the Tier 2 Metro Bank One-Day Cup last year. But you could make a compelling argument to suggest that T20 cricket was their strongest suit in 2025.
