Adil Rashid has been donating relief packages for earthquake victims in Pakistan.

On Tuesday, the Yorkshire and England star visited Pakistan Occupied Kashmir’s Mirpur region which had been hit by an earthquake killing 37 people and injuring more than 500.

He donated packages and spoke to affected locals in an area which has significant personal relevance.

He explained: “I have a special affection for Mirpur because my parents were born here, and I am in Pakistan for the people who are in desperate need of help.”

Rashid, who has not played since the summer’s World Cup due to a shoulder injury, is fit again and in England’s T20 squad for their five-match tour of New Zealand early next month.
