Yorkshire’s home based players will be returning to pre-season training at Emerald Headingley over the next week or so.

The players who were not involved in the early October trip to the Middle East to play in the three-day Abu Dhabi T20 competition are back in from Monday.

Those who were have been given an extra week off and will be back in the following Monday (November 26).

An immediate emphasis will be put on fitness before cricket is eased into the pre-Christmas schedule. Skill work will then be increased in the New Year.

With first-team coach Andrew Gale heading to Tasmania for approximately a month through December to work with their state and Big Bash sides, Rich Pyrah, Ian Dews, Ian Fisher and Kunwar Bansil will oversee things.

The ECB will release the 2019 county fixture list on Tuesday November 27.

The fixtures will be split into two parts.

The Specsavers County Championship and the Royal London one-day Cup fixtures will be released at 10am before the Vitality Blast and Kia Super League schedules will be revealed at 5pm.

It is expected that the early stages of the season will be loaded with RL50 cricket, with Championship games spread out more through the summer than they previously have been.
