No play was possible after lunch due to heavy rain. Play had resumed with Yorkshire 42 for 2. Matthew Waite was caught at first slip for three in the second over of the day. Jordan Thompson came to the crease and made 56 from 75 balls (8 fours) before being caught at first slip.

In the meantime, Bilal Anjam made 22 from 56 balls (4 fours) and Ben Birkhead 30 from 47 balls (3 fours; 1 six) – he and Thompson adding 67 for the fifth wicket in 88 balls.

Karl Carver and Ed Barnes were each four not out at lunch.
