Toss
Yorkshire 2nd XI won the toss and elected to bat first.

In our fourth Trophy game we lost our unbeaten run losing by five wickets with 5.3 overs to spare, but in the process witnessed one of the best one-day innings you could wish to see.
On a warm, sunny morning Yorkshire won the toss and elected to have first use of what looked a very good batting wicket.
Ben Birkhead was bowled for six and shortly after Jordan Thompson was adjudged lbw for one. Yorkshire were 31-2 from 6.3 overs. Finlay Bean joined Will Fraine and they rotated the strike well and put away the bad ball. Fraine was first to reach his 50 from 55 balls with 8 fours and when he was dismissed for 67 from 75 balls (11×4) he and Bean had added 101 in 110 balls.
Finlay reached his maiden half century from 65 balls with 6 fours and a six and he had made 74 from 87 balls when he was caught at point – he also added 1 more four and another six. Matthew Fisher took 32 balls to reach 18 but reached his 50 from a further 21 with 4 fours and 2 sixes. He put on 126 with Harry Duke in 94 balls.
At the start of the last over Fisher was unbeaten on 93 – he added 2 twos and a one but then Duke was stumped for 34 from 42 balls; Ed Barnes took a one from the fifth ball and Fisher was to face the last ball needing two for his ton – a drive to deepish mid off looked like getting him there but he slipped whilst turning and finished 99 not out from 81 balls with 7 fours and 3 sixes.
Yorkshire closed on 302-5.
Matthew Fisher trapped Westbury lbw with the score on 30. However, a further 104 was added before we struck again when Will Fraine ran out Robson who had just reached his half century from 45 balls with 5 fours and a six. He had shared that century partnership with Jack Haynes who had beaten him to the half century mark by reaching his from 47 balls also with 5 fours and a six.
Milton went third ball courtesy of a stunning slip catch by Jordan Thompson and when Lea was caught at point, Worcestershire were 167-4. However 17 year old Haynes reached his hundred from 84 balls with 11 fours and 2 sixes and he went on to reach 150 from a further 24 balls and he finished unbeaten on 180 from 117 balls with 23 fours and 5 sixes.
We start a three-day Championship game at the same venue tomorrow (14th May) and our penultimate Trophy game is at Lutterworth against Leicestershire on 20th May.
