Leicestershire: HJ Swindells†, ST Evans, NJ Dexter, AM Ali, CF Parkinson, AM Lilley*, SD Bates, D Klein, GT Griffiths, WS Davis, N Bowley, AWG Jones.

Yorkshire: WAR Fraine, B Anjam, OR Batchelor, JA Thompson, A Ramkumar, MD Fisher, BD Birkhead†, E Barnes, MW Pillans, JE Poysden*, MA Taylor, JW Shutt.

Yorkshire have won the toss and elected to bat first.

Leicestershire resumed on 215-3 but we struck in the second over of the day when Jordan Thompson made a hard catch look very easy at first slip to get rid of Parkinson for 61 – a wicket for Jack Shutt. This brought skipper, Aaron Lilley to the crease and our start would have been even better had Matt Pillans been able to cling on to a catch from Lilley when he had made eight. However the chance went begging and when the same batter was caught behind off Matt Fisher, he had struck 47 from 52 balls with 7 fours.

Overnight centurion, Sam Evans, added 43 to his total and shortly before lunch he was caught low down at mid on by Matt Fisher from Jordan Thompsons bowling. At lunch Leicestershire were 353-6, a lead of 281.

Bates had been unbeaten on 28 at lunch and had added seven more when Thompson took his second catch at slip, a wicket for Josh Poysden. Dieter Klein hit 35 from 38 balls and was bowled by Poysden: 386-8. The last two wickets fell quickly, and they were all out for 389. Ed Barnes 3-50, Jordan Thompson 3-43 and Josh Poysden 2-60.

Will Fraine and Bilal Anjam made 27 for the first wicket before Will was caught at short extra cover for 12, and Bilal was bowled for 17 with the score at 40. Oliver Batchelor made 23 from 51 balls before he was lbw to one that appeared from our vantage point to keep a little low. This brought Arjun Ramkumar to the crease – he and Jordan Thompson added 44 in 89 balls when Jordan was caught behind, 102-4 and this became 104-5 when Matthew Fisher was bowled.

Ramkumar and Ben Birkhead added 24 when with the 4th ball of the last over of the day Arjun was caught at the wicket for 29 (83 balls, 2 fours).

We start the final day trailing by 189 with 4 wickets remaining.
