Show your club colours – A celebration of cricket in Yorkshire and the thriving recreational game

Yorkshire Cricket is delighted to launch a new campaign to celebrate the recreational game in Yorkshire, and provide opportunities to connect cricket clubs with Yorkshire CCC.

With over 700 cricket clubs across the county, Yorkshire is a hotbed of recreational cricket, boasting the highest number of players in the whole of England. It is no coincidence that Yorkshire CCC have developed so many home-grown talents over the years, with the pathway system a source of real pride for all involved in the game in Yorkshire.

To celebrate the remarkable work being done across the club landscape, and connnect the wider game with Yorkshire’s professional teams, Yorkshire Cricket is delighted to be launching a new campaign for 2026.

The celebration days

The two below Vitality Blast fixtures have been selected as games to celebrate the recreational game. Those who sign up on behalf of their clubs will get access to exclusive ticket links with significant discounts available to those within the club and their family and friends. On each matchday, the Club is also planning to showcase the great work being done around the county and the impact it has on our professional teams. Attendees are also encouraged to wear their club training or playing kit for each game.

Yorkshire Men vs Gloucestershire – Vitality Blast – Sunday 31 May – Headingley

Yorkshire Women vs Lancashire Thunder – Vitality Blast – Wednesday 1 July – York
