More overnight rain resulted in some getting under the cover. Therefore there was to be no further play with the match abandoned.

Day 2

No play Tuesday due to a wet outfield.

Day 1

Heavy rain from yesterday delayed the start until after lunch – Durham won the toss and asked Yorkshire to bat first – 24 overs were lost.

Four of the first 8 overs were maidens however Finlay Bean and Will Luxton reached a half century partnership in the 14th over and had reached 63 before Bean was caught behind for 25 from 48 balls with 5 fours.

James Wharton joined Luxton and they added 44 in 99 balls before the former was brilliantly caught and bowled by Drissell for 19: 107-2.

Luxton completed his half century from 72 balls with 10 fours but he was caught at slip for 61 (110 balls; 11 fours) and tea was taken.

Following tea 25 balls were bowled before a further rain interruption. This led to a further 5 overs being lost. A further resumption was then curtailed at 4.57 pm before play was abandoned for the day at 5.40 pm.

Yorkshire close on 132-3, Hill 9 not out and Tattersall 14 not out.
